The Senate Deputy Minority Leader, High Chief Senator Lere Oyewumi, expresses warm felicitations to the peace-loving monarch, His Royal Majesty, Oba Olatunde Falabi Olabemloye III, Akire of Ikireland, on the landmark occasion of his birthday. Akogun Lere Oyewumi opined that since the monarch mounted the throne of his ancestors, he has provided purposeful, courageous, and tenacious leadership to the town and his subjects. Senator Lere Oyewumi stressed that the monarch's contributions to the preservation and promotion of Yoruba culture, his efforts toward the unity and progress of Ikire, the Yoruba race, as well as the promotion of the traditional institution, are unquantifiable.


Senator Oyewumi also extolled Oba Olatunde Falabi Olabemloye III as an epitome of intelligence, culture, and intellectualism in royalty, while saluting his commitment to ensuring the unity of Ikire and its environs. Kabiesi, as you deservedly celebrate your glorious day, it is our prayer that Almighty God, who has richly prospered you and ordered your every step this past year, will continue to bless you with good health and fulfillment in the many more years of worthy service ahead of you. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior,  made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government. He congratulated Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
